Name: Jack Matthew Bagthorpe
Servant: Rider
Age: 13
Gender: Male
Place of Origin: Britain
Likes: His dog Zero, comic books, the outdoors
Dislikes: Feeling inferior to his siblings, people insulting his dog, sarcastic burglars
Talents: Faking psychic powers, teaching dog tricks by example, can't be hurt by magic
The Bagthorpe family has only been magical these last few generations. Accordingly, they still have one foot in the mundane world. In fact, Mr Henry Bagthorpe, Jack's father, is employed as a screenwriter for the BBC. (Laura Bagthorpe, his mother, is an Agony Aunt and local magistrate.) The Bagthorpe children have been raised to take just pride in all their achievements, not just the supernatural ones, and magic is mostly thought of as just another String To Their Bows.
Magic is just about the only string Jack has to his bow and even then he's not very good at it. His main talent is not being able to be hurt by supernatural means.
Of course, now that Grandma Bagthorpe has announced her intention of passing down the family crest to their five-year-old cousin Daisy Parker, none of the Bagthorpe siblings are quite as keen on magic as they were a year ago.
Russell Parker, Jack's uncle and not actually magical in the least, has recently come in possession of certain relics of ancient Sindaria and intends to use these relics to sponsor Jack in the Holy Grail War. Whether or not this will work out any better than the time they tried to fool the entire family into believing Jack had the powers of prophecy will remain to be seen.
[For the purposes of this AU, we'll assume that the events of the the Bagthorpe Saga happened more or less as they did in canon. Chronologically, Fate/Imitation takes place the winter after Bagthorpes Battered.]
